In addition to all the great features of the Ultra, the Ultra XL also features two blind spot monitors so that the driver in the seat can turn and look for the traffic in the blind spot while maneuvering the vehicle, pulling out from a parking space or merging on the freeway.   The Ultra XL uses five monitors and two workstations with high-speed graphics cards to insure the speed and reliability of the simulations for your drivers.

 

The additional visability provided by five monitors assists with depth perception, and also helps them gain a better feel for the size and position of their vehicle in the virtual world. The extended FOV is especially helpful when dealing with risks that may be outside the FOV of the of a view single screen display.   This five-screen display delivers a “real-life” visual experience and produces an accurate representation of what it’s like to sit behind the wheel of an actual car.

 

Most importantly, each of our systems accurately positions the driver on the left hand side of the car, in order to replicate an accurate behind the wheel perspective. This means the driver has more of the vehicle on the right than the left, which is important when learning how to turn corners maneuver in traffic.
