Immersive and Life-like CDL Truck Simulator
SSI’s EF-Truck offers a very realistic and compact motion platform, which provides a broad range of cab movement to simulate going up and down hills, quick acceleration, or abrupt stops. It pitches and rolls the entire cab and provides haptic feedback to simulate the feel of the road when driving. Also, the entire system can still fit in a space as small as a 10’x15’ area.
SSI’s CDL simulator is unique in that it is both compact and offers a large range of motion. Our simulators can fit through a standard 38” commercial door and use standard 110v commercial power. SSI’s Truck simulator also uses fewer computers, which means it’s more dependable with fewer computer-related problems. While most other truck simulators have you step into or down into your seat, Our simulator is more vertically oriented which causes you to have to get into our simulator just as you would in a real CDL tractor. by grasping ahold of the handholds, stepping on the doorstep and getting into the cab just as you would in real life. The Motion Base
A convincing simulation experience involves multiple components…authentic controls, sound quality, the realism of your graphics, and with our EF Truck NG, the movement of a real truck as you’re driving down the road!
As the most advanced simulator available today, it’s not surprising that our EF-Truck NG simulator offers a 3-DOF motion base providing the pitch, roll, and lift of the entire cab! In addition, this proprietary technology utilizes high-frequency actuators that can even simulate the rumble of the diesel engine at idle.
OEM COMPONENTS
We incorporate a modern and authentic truck cab that offers the ability to shift Semi-automatic, Automatic, and manual synchronized, and non-synchronized transmissions, along with multiple vehicle classes and selectable gear patterns. This multi-functional system can be utilized to train an array of commercial vehicle operators all on the same simulator platform. The EF-Truck NG simulator utilizes actual OEM components for the steering wheel and column, pedals, dashboard, air seat & more.
Lifelike Transmission and Shifter:
Shifting is an integral component to any tractor-trailer training program, so our new EF-Truck NG has been designed with an advanced transmission that emulates double-clutching, synchronized, and automatic transmissions providing 8, 10, 13, 15, and 18-speed manual emulations and automatic mode.
Our EF-Truck NG transmission is engineered with an innovative lockout mechanism that prevents the truck from entering gear if the engine isn’t in the proper RPM gap and tolerance. along with the haptic vibrations from the sound and motion of the truck simulator. And like the rest of our hardware, it’s tough!
Comprised of a robust, steel assembly, our EF-Truck NG transmission uses OEM components and is engineered to emulate the feel of a real shifter, with the durability of an actual tractor.
Lifelike Instrument Clusters:
Our Truck NG also incorporates our next-generation instrument clusters that are lifelike representations of what a driver is going to see when sitting in the driver’s seat of a real truck. The full-color replicated panels are both beautiful, and functional, and make our NG cab fare more realistic than comparable systems.In addition, these instrument clusters change automatically depending on the vehicle selected for added realism.

Our Curriculum
Use of the Building Block curriculum:
• At the end of each chapter, when all the lessons have been completed, the student will be required to take an assessment.
• The student can proceed to the next lesson once the assessment is passed.
• If the student does not pass the assessment at the end of the chapter, the student will have to revisit some exercises to relearn the material and then retake the assessment.
• If the assessment is passed, the following chapter will be accessible.
• These various assessments contained at the end of each chapter constitute the chronological methodology of the curriculum.
• After using his/her student login and password, the system automatically records and tracks the student’s performance. Each time a student signs on, he/she is placed at the exact spot where they left off during the previous training session.
• Different icons are used to denote the lessons that have been completed, which lessons are accessible, and which lessons are inaccessible.
We include several main modules with a series of lessons, and in each lesson is a series of exercises and driving scenarios. In total, we include over 40 lessons and 80+ driving scenarios and exercises, plus unlimited practice driving in our expansive driving environment.
Computer Based Training (Optional)
We have just introduced our optional Computer-Based Training Modules that work in conjunction with our simulation training system. The CBTs can be done on a computer or laptop that is connected to the training system. Each station exam score is graded and tracked by the instructor.

High Fidelity Vehicle Models: TruckSim includes math models for over eighteen vehicle configurations that include several single-unit trucks and a diverse range of tractor-trailer combinations with multiple trailers, dollys, and axle configurations. If you require a truck configuration that is not included,Mechanical Simulation can develop a custom vehicle model based on your specifications. Optional features in the math models add degrees of freedom to handle flexible trailer frames, and flexible power train mounts.
