Rehabilitation
Description
SSI is proud to introduce a full line of fully-interactive driver rehabilitation training and assessment simulators. Each platform incorporates robust hardware, realistic graphics, and our comprehensive S.T.A.R.S. (Skills Testing Assessment Rehabilitation Software) software.
The S.T.A.R.S. CONCEPT
This concept involves performing two distinct tasks.
First, we understand that a therapist, clinician or caregiver must assess critical
cognitive, physical and visual capacities to determine whether or not a client
has the ability to operate a vehicle safely and effectively.
Second, if they have the core skills needed to operate a vehicle, it is necessary to evaluate their performance in real-life situations. This includes driving in busy city traffic, on expressways, at night, in adverse weather, and in other risky and complex situations.
We accomplish both goals by using specialized training and testing software. The STARS system includes assessment and evaluation modules designed to measure reaction time, form and color perception, memory recognition and strength capacities.
